This week I received an email from Eerie River Publishing, informing me that my story “The Installation” was accepted for their anthology It Calls From Below!
This will be my third published story and the second to appear in print.
The anthology features horror stories set beneath the earth. Something about that theme sparked an idea and over the course of a week, I wrote a 6000-word story. “The Installation” centers around a secret underground facility where an ancient evil lurks. I hope the fun I had writing it translated into the story.
To celebrate, I continued my tradition of going book shopping and completed the day with a giant hamburger and fries.
I have no information yet on when it will come out. I’ll give updates when I have them.
This acceptance means so much to me. I had fallen into a deep hole and this news provided the ladder to escape. There are plenty more holes ahead. I guess I’ll have to write more stories.
Tchau,
Zé
Congrats! That’s so awesome. Keep it up!

Congratulations! But the big question: Where does an up-and-coming Seattle writer go for his celebratory burger?

Thanks! I went to Two Doors Down in Madison Valley. It has—in my opinion—the best burgers in Seattle (especially their green chili burger).
